        There are approximately 250,000 National FBLA-PBL members. These members come from 6,100 local chapters. FBLA activities include professional development, community service, social involvement, fundraising, and public relations. Professional activities increase student skills or knowledge of business world. Service activities help people in need. Civic activities promote civic pride and good citizenship. Fundraising activities finance chapter projects and conference trips.

         Meetings are held to conduct business or to present a specific program. The programs SBHS FBLA will participate in are:

  • Preparing for regional, state, and national competitive events
  • Guest speakers from various businesses and industries
  • Field trips to businesses
  • FBLA trivia games and other activities with prizes

        Membership dues are $20.00 per year. Checks are the preferred form of payment and should be made payable to "SBHS." Please submit the dues payment to one of the advisers with a completed registration form to become an official FBLA club member.

         Payment of dues covers membership in the state and national FBLA organizations as well as SBHS FBLA and is a requirement to be eligible to participate in conferences and competitive events. In addition to paying membership dues, students must attend a minimum of 50% of club meetings and activities to be considered an active member of FBLA for SBHS transcript purposes.
